Hiroaki Nagare (President & Chief Executive Officer)

Hiroaki NagareHiroaki Nagare has been leading computer and networking companies for over 15 years and always brought huge success to the companies he has belonged. He was most recently at Redback Networks Japan serving as President where he contributed to development of DSL market in Japan. Prior to Redback, he launched Cacheflow (later renamed itself to Blue Coat Systems) Japan and led the company as President. Among his numerous successes, the most significant one was Ascend Communication (later acquired by Lucent Technology), where he, as a Director of Sales for Japan, achieved more than 300 million dollar revenue a year and won the commanding share in access point market in Japan. With this success, he later promoted to President of Ascend Communications Japan followed by becoming Vice President of INS division in Lucent Technology in October 1999. Hiroaki received bachelor's degree in Law at Seijo University.

Jiro Takahashi (Executive Vice President, Sales)

Jiro TakahashiJiro Takahashi will bring Fivefront his more than 20 years of experience to conduct telecom carrier business. Since he began his career at Fujitsu, he has been leading sales force targeting NTT and its subsidiaries, the largest Telecom conglomerate in Japan. Prior to joining Fivefront, he served as President of Proxim Japan and contributed to broadening the wireless network market in Japan by aggressively expanding new sales channels. Previously he served as Director of Sales at CoSine Communication and devoted himself to building up business with telecom carriers and large service providers via direct touch sales. Prior to CoSine Communication, he served as Director of Sales at Ascend Communications (later acquired by Lucent Technology) , where he succeeded in bringing in Telecom customers to its existing customer base, which used to be mostly comprised of ISPs and enterprises, and significantly contributed to rapid growth of the company. Jiro holds a bachelor's degree in Economics at Doshisha University.

Atsushi Ito (Vice President, Business Strategy & Development)

Atsushi ItoFor over 20 years, Atsushi Ito has held variety of product/business development and marketing experience. In 2002, prior to joining Fivefront, he served as Director of Marketing at ProStorage, a storage company jointly founded by IBM and NetOne Systems, where he contributed to a rapid and widespread diffusion of storage networking technology as a core member of Japan Data Storage Forum. Prior to ProStorage, he served as Director of Business Development for DSL and VPN product lines at Ascend Communications (later acquired by Lucent Technology) and largely contributed to the development of domestic broadband market. Before his tenure at Ascend / Lucent, he was responsible for product marketing for networking hardware and software at IBM. One of his roles at IBM was a chairman of sub working group of Frame Relay Forum Japan, where he devoted his time to accelerate and disseminate the use of Frame Relay. Before IBM, he had a position at Mitsubishi Electric, being in charge of product development and marketing for digital image processing filter and TV conferencing equipment. He was a member of ISO WG8, standardizing JPEG and MPEG. Atsushi holds Master's degree in Engineering at Seikei University.

Motonori Shindo (Vice President & Chief Technology Officer)

Motonori ShindoMotonori Shindo is a distinguished engineer and technology evangelist in networking and computer industry. He began his career at Tokyo Electric Power Company as an R&D researcher. Prior to joining Fivefront, he has led several networking companies including Proxim, CoSine Communications, and Ascend Communications (later acquired by Lucent Technology) as Senior SE and/or Technical Director. With his high degree of technical expertise, he has been serving as a repetitive lecturer in renowned events and exhibitions such as "INTEROP" and "Internet Week", and has contributed many articles to books and magazines.The area of his expertise are broad but Security and Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology are the most significant. For the last four years, he is working on flow technologies such as NetFlow, sFlow and IPFIX. Motonori received a bachelor's degree in Physics at Rikkyo University in 1988 and spent 3 years (1992-95) as a PhD student at School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University.
